Tommy Randersa returns to Formula 2 for the Belgium round after his debut season in 2021.

The German finished 2nd in the standings last year with 6 race wins and missed out on the final round of the championship.

He had announced his driving days were over, but he returned to the sport in Super Formula earlier this year for the Sportsland SUGO round. He attempted to race in Fuji as well, but had to pull out due to safety reasons.

"I'm excited to return to Formula 2, it will be good to get behind the wheel again. I have much to prove despite my previous results." said Randersa. "It's also a chance for me to drive the new Spa. I'm interested in learning the changes."

"This is a single round entry for now, I don't have plans to finish off the season yet. However, I wouldn't count out a return around Monza or something like that."

Randersa drove for Van Amersfoort Racing before in F3 Asian, but also drove for the team that was taken over by Van Amersfoort Racing in F2 last year, so he's no stranger to the team. They will be hoping to grab some points if the opportunity arrises.
